Hi

I see that you are using 17a.
so would you mind using the latest DVBDream.
Here is the linker:

Thanks

Actually I am using SmartDVB.
For this test I used DVBDream because its familiar for you.

Before I installed this oem version and copied its bda.dev driver in my 17a Devices folder with different name like bda_300.dev. I have tried both. No luck.
Now I installed again 2.0.2.8 and this oem version just to be sure again. Same = No signal, No channels found for 23.5E and only LOW frequencies of 19.2E.
There is no point to test for 13E and 16E and 28.2E.

I have installed the new driver, but I am at work now which means that I CAN'T physically restart the tuner which I usually do when I install new driver.
I am not sure if the correct firmware is uploaded to the device, because i haven't turned it off and then back on.

Still, I have remote desktop access. And I have made few scans.

For 19.2E it now finds Pay Per View Channels like: Sky Select HD, Fox HD, Blue Movie HD on different HIGH transponders. Nothing else is found, only those 3 channels are found on different transponders (HIGH).
LOW are still gone. Nothing.

For 23.5E - LOW are gone. frequencies have signal but "no channels found"
for HIGH - as soon as the scan passes 11700 mark..it starts to find channels. so..HIGH are OK.

I have same problem since very long. No Signal on many tps. Contacted TBS. Make me test several drivers. But I can only use diver v 2.0.16 which came on the CD. From other users I understand that it affects only the USB version of the card. after my tests TBS support told that they found the cause of my problem....up to now no cure for it.

For ProgDVB I've given up. Here is TBS answer:
Hi,
It seems the new version of Progdvb haven't support TBS5922 yet,we need to talk with them.
I will let you know the new information later.
Best regards!

I tried powering up and plugging in the USB last night but my Astra 1N channels now seem to have gone for good!

Updated to the new driver and all the channel disappeared. After a reboot and power cycle of the 5922 the channels that did work, worked again (I only tried one or two) but all the previously missing channels were still missing.

Ummm, I should just check the new driver as installed correctly. Will check tonight...

Before I started using tuner I thought ProgDVB is the best program out there. Now I know that ProgDVB is the worst. Very slow and frequent crashes. Nightmare. I can say I like the menus and UI of DVBDream. DVBviewer got some other pluses like good OSD. But now I am using only SmartDVB which is stable, new and free. Remote control works in native mode.
I found that best codecs for it is LAV video decoder. All other codecs have issues. Even nVidia Pure Video (which is almost flawless) does stutter on Al Jazeera channels. I use ffdshow for audio decoding.

About 5922. I were using it with some version of ProgDVB but in latest releases it doesn't control my diseqc very well, so I abandoned it.

Also I tried using it with VDR (under linux) no success. Always the same message:
"frontend 0/0 timed out while tuning to channel x, tp xxxxxx."

A friend of mine got PCIx TBS card and have no issues at all with VDR.
So I guess you are right that there is problem with USB cards!
Hope it gets fixed!

Looks like this driver is actually working. (fingers crossed) First I have to do some things to get to it.

Even when I uninstalled all drivers using control panel I still had some wierd drivers in my system. Like 2.0.2.1 2.0.2.2. I had to Uninstall with "Delete driver software for this device" until they were all gone. Then I installed 2.0.2.8_new version. Because this driver is beta it wasn't signed. Windows refused to load it with error code 52. (maybe because my windows is 2008). I restarted with F8 and "Disabled driver signature enforcement" and continued loading Windows. I am still testing now. But looks like driver is able to find most if not all channels!

On 19.2E Astra some channels on frequencies 12246 and 12324 are found with "noname"s. Can you tell if that's caused by low signal? Looks like I got Quality 15% on those.
Scanning log of SmartDVB reads:
"Section CRC failed" for PMT and SDT on those 2 frequencies. Even when program is trying to retry reading them its still unable to find their names.
