Disceq problem

Hi,

Recently i bought a 6981. I have 3 satellites in one cable.

AA--->42E Turksat
AB--->13E Hotbird
BA--->7E Eutelsat W3

My problem is here: i can not go from one satellite to other. i mean disceq not working for both turners. I have no idea how can i fix it. I read a thread related with this problem but i dont have enough knowledge for understand what they are talking about Can someone help me please. If u need any info please let me know.

Edit: it is not a software problem cause i tried 3 or 4 different softwares and disceq didnt work with any software.

OK,
i tried with dvb dream and those uncommitted hex codes works for me. Now i can switch between satellites.

Now another problem: how can i able to do this with mediaportal?

Any idea?

hi, if you now know the correct commands (hex values) that instructs your disceq switch to change the satellite then you can use them with any DVB application - i mean all DVB applications i can think of, provide way for manually input disceq commands for the switch. i don't know specifics for mediaportal though. however, i'm sure they implemented proper disceq support for 6980 some time ago and that should work with 6981 too.

Thanks for your reply. There is something strange with my disceq. As i post earlier my disceq worked with uncommitted commands. Then i format and reinstall my windows OS and tried again with same hex codes. But it did not work with those codes even it worked before. Then i tried with committed codes. Also those codes didnt work. I have multiswitch (terminal) for 32 users. here is the link http://www.next.com.tr/default.asp?git=9&urun=240.

For now i m searching for correct hex codes for my multiswitch.

hi, after you reinstall your OS, did you copy "bda.dev" file from your installation CD for TBS 6981 to "Devices" folder under your DVBDream installation folder?

hi, maybe your DVBLink version is old without TBS 6981 support. you can try the one on our website:

i'm not using DVBLink anymore since i m now able to use Mediaportal with MDAPI.

I have 3 satellites in one cable.

But i still have disceq problems with MP. After my last post i reinstalled my OS (win7 x86) and DVBDream works really great with my card even i dont use those hex codes. But in MP my LNB1 dont work...While using MP, turner is not locking to LNB1. It is really weird since i can switch between LNB2 to LNB3 or vice versa without any problem. Only problem is LNB 1 now. when i stop MP tv server and start DVBDream to change to LNB1 it works well..

i don't know specifics for mediaportal though. however, i'm sure they implemented proper disceq support for 6980 some time ago and that should work with 6981 too.

Depending on my problem, unfortunately it is not work for 6981:(

EDIT: i also upgraded my driver to 2.0.0.14, it was 2.0.0.8 when this thread start.Also my OS was win7 X64 but now Win7 X86

exactly, this thread is about when support for 6980 was added to MP and you can see that the last post there confirms it's OK:

My TBS6980 runs fine in Mediaportal and also DiseqC functions fine there.

Any advice?

MP is third party and open-source application, we have SDK:

where every developer, including MP ones, can see how Diseqc is controlled - i mean if DVBDream works then it's MP problem.
