QUAD/OCTA/QUATTRO LNB with TBS6909

QUAD/OCTA/QUATTRO LNB with TBS6909

Postby Hamidam » Fri Jul 14, 2017 6:16 pm

I just want to confirm the following that I was told would work as a setup using the TBS6909 card and want help regarding the proper equipment/setup to use together with the TBS6909.

------------------
1)

We currently have purchased one such card and are planning to buy more.

Is it true that I can/should use a TWIN/DUAL LNB and connect only the two outputs to one VH and HH ? That means that I would leave two inputs on the card not connected at all.

I was told that I could then use all 8 tuners in the card, meaning I could view up to 8 different frequencies/muxes at the same time.

We need to figure out what to buy for equipment which is why I am asking.

------------------
2)

This leads me to the second question. If a TWIN/DUAL LNB works to use the card with one satellite fully, would that mean that we could purchase an OKTA LNB and connect up to 4 cards to access 4*8 = 32 frequencies/muxes at the same time?

This would save us the cost of buying a multi switch and might be more cost efficient.

Would that work?

3)
------------------
Is that optimal?

I understand that I could use a QUATTRO LNB and connect all one card. To connect to multiple cards, I would need a multi switch.

4)
------------------
To be I am just confused if only two cables are needed from a TWIN/QUAD/OCTO LNB as input to the TV card. Is that correct?

Would the card enable me to access up to 8 different frequencies at the same time?

Hi Hamidam

Thanks for your interest of our tuner card .for 6909 the default mode need four input
V low band , V high band
H Low band , H high band
if your LNB is signal band then only VL, HL need to input
if your LNB is dual band then VL,VH,HL,HH all need to input if you want to receive all signal .

So for your questions :

1.For TWIN/DUAL LNB if your LNB is signal ku or C band not dual band ,then Dual LNB is enought , one for VL input one for HL input, then you can get lock all V and H transponder .

2, if Octa LNB ,8 output is independent then you can use for 4 x6909 ,one tuner input for VL, HL .

Thanks

Kind Regards

steven
