Different driver install procedure?

Just had to reinstall my system and downloaded the same drivers I did at the end of april, version from 15th April 2015. Am I going mad but has the install process been changed to use installer.sh now or has that always been there? Will this accomplish everything that the previous installation used to?

I'd also like to know if the drivers are compatible with v4kernels?

Well redownloaded the drivers file and installer.sh is gone and back to the old method.

Would appreciate some input on my last question .

Trying to recompile a Linux kernel with TBS drivers for use on an Unraid system.

Here are my efforts so far.
