High CPU usage on ffmpeg with TBS6985

Had 2 x TBS6985 in server, everything was running well. Yesterday I added TBS6985 and when i boot the system up i couldn't launch any transcoding processes because my resources would get exhausted. Upon closer look i discovered that FFMPEG started eating 5 cores for every process instead of 60% like it always did.

Does not fit in my head that TBS6984 can somehow make CPU usage go up but the only change in sequence of events was the addition of TBS6984.

I can't remove it that easy as its in a remote location but will try to do it after weekend.

Any ideas what the issue could be?
