Problem 166Khz offsets in UK

Have just installed this in My Windows 7 Media Center. It all set up fine, but strange things happened when I scanned, the number of found channels would go up, then drop down? Once the scan had finished it had found around 100 channels which would be right.
Delving deeper & looking at the sources under edit channel, each one had 6 sources, with 2 selected, when I should have just 2. Looking at the sources they had different frequencies, the main 'centre' one & then the others were +/- 166Khz. Also it wasn't always the centre frquencies selected by MC, just any random pair. I believe this 166Khz thing is done in the UK when Muxes are on adjacent channels, my transmitter is Nottingham which only has channel 21 using a +166Khz offset.
Why is this card picking them all up & confusing MC?
