Problem watching TV when no signal (solved)

Problem watching TV when no signal (solved)

Postby garry » Fri Sep 02, 2011 5:35 am

Hi,

TBS6984 works very well until signal is good. When rain starts, the signal dissapears and as a result video stops. This is expected. But when the rain stops and the sun comes out, signal becomes good again - video does not appears. Moreover, when I reopen program for watching - also no video, no errors. The only way is to restart my computer, after that all works fine. Windows 7 x64.

Is it a problem with drivers?

Garry.

Hi

When rain starts, the signal dissapears , do you have close the program or you just let the program on wait the rain stop.
and is this always occur when have rain?you can have a test just plug off the LNB and wait a few seconds then plug in the LNB ,if it is ok,
maybe it is not the rain problem.
wait for your test report.

Thanks

Thank you for reply.
I do not close program and let the program on wait the rain stop. It always occur when the rain is strong enough for a long time so signal dissapears at all for a long time. If rain is not so strong, signal is not dissapears at all and I can watch TV with artefacts and interrups, and in this case when rain stops all is ok. Usually it occurs in such a way: at first I can watch TV with interrupts and at some moment (~10-15 minutes) TV stops at all. Once I waited then for a few hours, rain was long over - no effect. After that when I restarted my computer all works fine.
I do not use LNB at all, at the moment I use only one tuner (A), one transponder, and watch one channel. I tested in DTV Viewer from DirectShow.NET.

Hi, steven,

Today I tested in TBSViewer - the same result. At first I watched TV with interrupts about 1 hour and then video stoped at all. When I closed TBSViewer after ~12 hours (when rain stoped) and restarted it - there was no video, just a black window. But when I restarted my computer all played ok.

So I think the problem is in drivers, is there any solution exists? I use last driver version - v1.0.1.3.
