2 times TBS 6928 MCE problem(Solved)

I’m working with 2 pcs TBS 6928 with Windows 7 Media Center application since 2 months now.

In addition, i run both 6928 with DiabloCam2 in the CI (latest firmware) and HD+ (white - HD01) smartcard. So far everything is working well.

But when i watch a live broadcast on one tuner and on the other a recording is starting the live broadcast freezes immediately and the recording stops either immediately or after a few minutes. This happens only for encrypted channels (no matter what - so it has nothing to do with HD+), as far as I've already found out and these are with me now by 90%. It would be easy to push the problem onto the CAM but this worked with my previous TV cards without any problem (in the exact same constellation).

I'm therefore not to be able to see programmed recordings, the main task of the MCES for me.

I even have completly new installed Windows 8 - with the exact same result!

I don’t think it’s a MCE problem, because with my two earlier Digital Everywhere Floppy DTV it was working fine in the same configuration. Also it does work fine with not encrypted channels, so it think MCE it’s doing his job.

I selected both 6928 in MCE and both tuners are working. I also did a completly new TV setup in MCE. What i found out in the mean time: When the live channels freezes and i change to another channel (and back) live tv is working fine, but the recording is definitely canceld and this is my biggest problem. I’ve a lot of programmed recordings but none is working anymore!

I’ve already invested more than 20 hours into this problem with no result, can you help me? Could the problem lie in the MCE CI tool? I think not that I am the only one with such a situation, the problem is possibly already known?

Thanks for any suggestions!

So i did a lot of work in the meantime!

I bought new cams (2x Unicam) = exact the same problem!

I’ve tested with not encryptec channles = works 100% = SO IT’S DEFINITLY NOT A MCE PROBLEM!! (CineS2 works with 2 (ore more) tuner as well)

I’ve completly new installed Windows 8 = exact the same problem!

I’ve let come a cam profi with a hardware cam logger – Result = MCE CI TOOL DOES CONFUSE THE CAMS AS SOON AS IT’S MORE THAN ONE TBS-6928 WITH CAM IN THE SYSTEM!

So it’s definitly a problem in the cam software (MCE CI TOOL) that doesn’t work properly if there is more than one TBS-6928 with CI in the cam.

I hope TBS can solve this problem with a ci tool update soon, otherwise the 6928 is useless for me an anybody with more than one tuner with cam in MCE!

Since I am apparently the only one with 2x TBS6928 and 2x CAM I have diligently researched and tested many more hours.

To exclude an incompatibility with the Diablocams I have purchased Unicams - unfortunately nothing changed!

But what I can state clearly: If you look unencrypted LiveTV and takes on an unencrypted channel everything works 100%. But as soon as one of them is an encrypted channel is clawing the encrypted channels to the currently active tuner sets the LiveTV paralyzed by freezing the image. If you switch it to another channel when LiveTV to regain an active picture will stop recording immediately - the behavior is very similar to when only 1 tuner would be available. It work perfectly but when viewed individually in tuner. Since the TBS MCE CI Tool text file, but the results it is clear that (installed the latest version 1.0.0.7) from version 1.0.0.4 and multi CI works in MCE it should work.

I think that a huge bug is in the control of the CI's via TBS MCE CI Tool - TBS so please help me! - Tell me it's MCE problem does not help - it is not a problem MCE!

Maybe someone has already a solution, because the hope for the TBS support I have now lost despite clear statements ...

Thanks TBS support for providing the beta driver!

I’ve just installed it on both 6928 and what should i say – everything works fine! That means from now everbody can use 2x 6928 with a cam in each one without anproblems in MCE! Next time will be out a formal release version on the official website, so that everbody can benefit from this improvement.

Thanks TBS support for supporting me (and everbody with 2x 6928/CAMs) in this problem!
