Updates to Ubuntu 11.10 broken drivers

I had a working tuner on Mythbuntu but an update killed the HDMI audio. I've just done a few more updates including a kernel upgrade and whilst the HDMI audio now works again the tuners don't! I've tried re-building the modules but nothing seems to work. They seem to build and install ok without errors.
Any ideas anyone?

I also had a kernel security update and then the TBS driver stopped working. I was totally unable to recompile the driver for dvb-t2. In the end I managed to get it working by copying the working driver from /lib/modules/2.6.34.10-0.2-desktop/kernel/drivers/media/dvb/frontends/tbs62x0fe.ko to the latest one. I have tried the latest drivers but none appear to work in high def.
