5922 signal lock unstable

Hi,
I recently purchased a 5922 and have connected it to my Mythbuntu HTPC. Installing the drivers and scanning for channels was straightforward, and worked fine.
I can watch and record TV using MythTV, so the box is working ok. However, the signal seems to be quite unstable. I can sometimes record TV for over an hour at a time with no problem, but then sometimes the bit error rate rapidly rises and the signal lock is lost, terminating the recording. On average I think it manages about half an hour before losing lock.
Below is the output from femon showing the bit error rate rising, then losing lock. As an aside I think the drivers must be reporting the wrong data, because I've never seen 'unc', or uncorrected errors, go above zero. ber seems to be the number of uncorrected errors.
My signal strength is good, so I'm not sure what the problem is. To check my dish and cabling I connected a FreeSat box to the other cable and recorded the same program on it and through the 5922. On a number of occasions the FreeSat box has recorded it fine, but the 5922 has lost lock and lost the recording.
What can I do to help diagnose this? Is it just the 5922 is not a forgiving as other tuners to noise, or is there an problem either with my 5922 or my pc?
Thanks for any help,
Andrew
