AC Adaptor blown

I have only had this for a few weeks - i admit it has been plugged in all this time, but it shouldnt have blown this quick. it was on a surge protected socket & the surge monitor shows no spikes.
Running at 230v ac at the moment. But what should i do with this adaptor - I live in the uk & purchased it from BuyDVB.net. The costs of sending it back to china could exceed the cost of buying a standard multi-voltage adaptor.

Would this http://www.maplin.co.uk/ac-dc-multi-voltage-20w-power-supply-32754 be compatable ?

Hello Chris,

the adapter of the link you showed can be used with the TBS 5922, DC 7.5V is the same as the original.
