Sometimes gets extremely hot. (solved)

I spotted a couple of failed recordings with NPVR and upon loging into the server saw that the USB device was no longer recognised.
The metal box of the tuner was so hot, it was difficult to hold for more than a few seconds.
I powered it off and left it for 10 minutes and it burst into life again and stayed just warm rather than HOT.
It has now done this about three times in the last couple of months.
Any thoughts? - sadly there seems to be no way to reproduce the problem. I must say I was surprised it still worked after a power-cycle it was running so hot.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I can confirm that the driver seems to have fixed things.
