I Recently bought This tuner and after Inserting the card in my pc, my pc did not detect the hardware.

My motherboard is Asus

Nothing pops up under lshw.

I am running ubuntu 10.10 64 bit and I inserted the tbs 6984 in my spare pciex16 slot.

Does anybody know of something i might have missed or does asus not support these adapters?

I can mention that if anybody wonder where to see the Pc tuner card in lspci it would be something like the following:

Phillips semiconductor multimedia controller.

When using the drivers i followed the readme file in the readme folder which does not work for me, it installs but it never sees my hardware, but if i follow any of the readme files in the main folder everything installs and works great.

Just for any other having issues with the hardware in debian based systems.
