Dear all,

We have just received our first TBS 5980 CI and we are testing it with scrambled channels (FTA channels work very well). Everything seems to be correct, but we cant see any image or sound (ie, the channel is not decrypted at all).

Using the "TBSViewer" we are unable to access the CAM via the "Cam Module", but using the "DVB Dream" version downloadeable from TBS web, we can access it and interact with its menus (see attached img).

Atm we are using TbsCIapi.dll v1.0.0.3, and, if we use v1.0.0.2 everything is the same but we get a log file in c:\tbsCI.log with the following contents:

Oh, i forgot to mention that the card works perfect with the desktop receiver and with another pc-satellite-tuner (distinct brand).

what's your smart card and cam type? can you give us some detail info or take some photo of them ?
which satellite and transponder do you lock ?
the more information you provide, the more we can close the problem.
we update a dll the latest version v1.0.0.4,please have a try with it.

I am attaching some images of the CAM (PowerCam PRO v2.03) and the SmartCard (digital+ nagra3) used.
I also included one image of the dvbdream showing the satellite and frequency tunned (FTA channel). An example of an scrambled channel freq would be 11156MHz polarity V, 22000 datarate. Satellite Astra 19.2E. EPG information is received and showed ok, so the tunning has been performed.

By the way, I have tried the new ci dll v1.0.0.4 without success

can you help to recorder this transponder's stream for us to do more analyses?
you can recoder it with dvbdream->Modules->Stream Recorder, please do not insert cam when you recorder it, more than 300M data will be good.
maybe you can use hotfile to update a big file.

I have tried the new dll and is not working yet . I tried it with tbsviewer, dvbdream and dvbviewer.

The CAM menu is working only under DVBDream (like before).

It's a pity it still doesn't work.
I thinks it would be more efficient if we get the same Cam and smart card with you and test it here.
can you help us to buy a smart card the same with yours?
