TBS6980 driver for kernel 2.6.35 -when?

I have tried to install the driver V1.92.2 on new Ubuntu 10.10 (kernel v. 2.6.35.22), but without of any success.
That is not wonder, since your driver supports kernel up to 2.6.34 version only.

So, my question is simple - when ? :)

so, Ubuntu 10.10 was released officially, then i will have to merge this work:

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=103

with the update for 2.6.35 and postpone that previous update i was planning to release, because it's not 2.6.35 compatible and there is no point to make two updates - one for remote control support and one for 2.6.35 compatibility in such short time, but rather merge them in one single update.

so, at this stage i can't say when exactly, because i don't know what problems could be there with making driver 2.6.35 compatible, but if there is nothing unexpected i guess soon - i'm putting highest priority on this, which means it will be ready as soon as possible.

Could not to find mentioned in the README_TBS6980, tbs-x86.sh and tbs-x86_64.sh files.

Also, I think it would be quite useful to keep links to previous versions of driver somewhere in the Download page ;)

Thank you in advance.

PS: kernel v. 2.6.36 is already available in the PPA:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ma ... -maverick/

indeed the tbs-x86.sh or tbs-x86_64.sh files are not existing in the downloaded file.

Edit: they are inside the v4l directory.

I tested the remote control in VDR and only the zapping between channels and numbers are working. No control of sound up/down,mute,menu, or colured buttons,...etc :?

Is there settings I have to do or this is all what is working at the moment?

Regards
Sami

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=103&start=10#p615

it's fully working with using the proper settings.
