you can't receive mediasat package on hotbird, because used unknown modulation (maybe H-8PSK).

and you not need set modulation in soft, because driver/device always autodetect standard/modulation. Simple set Auto in modulation.

and 16/32APSK often used for data transmission, so you not see any pictures in DTV-soft. And often this data transponders in generic continous mode (not transport stream) - you can record this streams in TBSRecorder or stream via my StreamReaderEx dll with disabled pid filtration. But this not useful, because generic continous targeted for satellite modems with onboard controller.

again - TBS IP can handle only MPE-IP from satellite (one-way satellite internet). this 32APSK transponders with generic continous streams with unknow encapsulation.

1) TBS6925 can receive any QPSK/8PSK/16APSK/32APSK frequency, no matter CCM or VCM/ACM. Here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=520 some users listed different 16APSK/32APSK frequencies, mostly data channels.

2) Mediaset at 13E & 5W at this moment not use 8PSK VCM, 16APSK or 32APSK. Your information about 8PSK/VCM is just simply outdated - that is no 8PSK/VCM. Because of that even with TBS6925 You won't be able to receive this (only this one package) and there is no device which can do that. Mediaset just switched to some totally untypical standard of transmission. If You want to view some TV channels from ACM/VCM frequencies - there is Sport Italia package at 31,5E and TIMB package at 12,5W. All other 16APSK/32APSK & 8PSK ACM/VCM transmissions are mosty data transmissions. Also there were some feeds at 22W in 32APSK for Sky UK: 32apsk.org

3) How to reveive 16APSK/32APSK frequencies? Just like any other normal frequency. TBS6925 has smart & good developed driver, so all DVB players are able to lock 16APSK/32APSK frequencies from topic linked above. The best way to find some frequencies that are not (yet ;) ) listed there is to use TBS BlindScan tool or great tool from crazycat: CrazyScan.

Mediaset is back on TBS6925 (and 5925) :D

If anybody didn't noticed yet - few days ago crazycat released CrazyScan and StreamReaderEx-BDA with PLS support (Physical Layer Scrambling). Thanks to this there is possibility to view Mediaset from 13°E again and also hidden RAI package from 5°W.

Details:
- http://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.com/po ... stcount=43
- http://forum.satkurier.pl/viewtopic.php ... 64#p669027 (in Polish - sorry :P )

List of frequiencies that can be received

13°E
- 11,334 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS: 1, 2 (Mediaset)
- 11,373 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS: 1, 2 (Mediaset)
- 11,432 GHz, pol. V, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS: 1, 2 (Mediaset)
- 12,539 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS: 1, 2 (Mediaset, copy of 11,334 GHz, pol. H)

5°W
- 11,012 GHz, pol. V, SR: 30000, FEC: 3/5 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 16416, MIS 2, 3, 11 (RAI)
- 11,179 GHz, pol. V, SR: 30000, FEC: 3/5 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 16416, MIS 4, 5, 12 (RAI)
- 11,637 GHz, pol. V, SR: 30000, FEC: 3/5 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 16416, MIS 1-6 (RAI)
- 11,675 GHz, pol. H, SR: 30000, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 16416, MIS 7-16 (RAI)
- 12,585 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS 1 (data transmission, OpenMux IP Gateway)
- 12,606 GHz, pol. V, SR: 29900, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS 1, 2 (Mediaset)
- 12,669 GHz, pol. H, SR: 29900, FEC: 2/3 (DVB-S2/8PSK), PLS Mode: Root + 8, MIS 1 (data transmission)

There are still two transmissions at 5°W, which can be PLS or not (frequencies: 11,137 GHz, pol. V and 11,511 GHz, pol. H), still under investigation, probably french channels.

How to receive?

As there is at the moment none DVB app with PLS selection support there, so first You need to run CrazyScan and select correct PLS mode in IQScan window, then close CrazyScan and run selected DVB app (DVB app need to have ability to select MIS, as all transmissions are multistream). Be aware that if You select PLS mode - You will be unable to receive any other DVB-S2 transmission until You get back to Root+1 in CrazyScan!

Watching is not very comfortable, because no DVB app can select PLS mode, so this is rather tip for DX-ers, not for everyday watching.

If You will see any transmissions similar to Mediaset/RAI - there is possibility to run PLS autodetection in CrazyScan, but it need some time to find correct combination. Select PLS mode with value "0" and wait...
