Selecting Favorites rather than Channels via Remote Control

might be a newbie question, but I am unable to select a favorite channel using my remote control
with TBS 6921 and TBS Viewer.
Example: When I click "2" I get channel 2 rather than the second favorite.
To switch to my first favorite, I am forced to enter "194" which happens to be the channel number.
Is there any trick I am missing? How can I persuade TBS Viewer to interpret remote control selctions as favorite numbers rather than as channels?
