Hi,

does anyone know if it is necessary to attach 6981's power cable to the power supply unit in order for it work? The power cable comes with the box, and the card seems running fine with power cable connected. But I just wonder if it is necessary at all.

i've also found out it's the same as a standard 6pin PCI-E connector as per any newer PSU.
ie: it's the same connector as all graphics cards that use the 6pin power connector.
