Hello

I purchased this card having had great results with my previous 6920 card. I installed the card last night, with drivers from website, all worked ok, but when I did a full transponder scan in MCE it crashed and rebooted. I have tried with the power cable directly plugged into the card and without. I have also changed the pci-e slot but with no joy.

my system is:

Foxconn A88gmx mobo
4 gig Ram
AMD 255 AM3 socket
Radeon 5950hd (passive cooled)

I have spent hours on this, please help.....

Win 7 32 or 64-bit? I use 64-bit and MCE does a full scan fine, so if you are also using 64-bit there must be something else going on - do the windows error logs give any clues?

Exactly the same here - full scan and bam, 7MCE crashes.
W7 32bit here. Any suggested fixes?

Sorry for the problem you have met,do you have used the older driver,Your CD's ,is it ok?and we will give you an answer as soon as possible.

I fixed this by resetting MCE using the following command:
mcupdate.exe -MediaCenterRecoveryTask

Unfortunately I am now getting random freezes when playing TV or watching a recording. I will try using the extra power cable to provide more juice to the card.
