I have a TBS 6982 will the tbs6982 work with a wideband lnb ??

Directly no and there's no DVB card which would correctly work directly with Wideband LNB. For Wideband LNB tuner has to be able to receive signal starting from around 290 MHz up to 2340 MHz. Tuning range for 6982: 950~2150 MHz
You can use multiswitch between to "convert" wideband signal back to universal one.

TBS 6983, 6903/5/8, 5927 have wide-band tuner STV6120

Yes, but based on STV6120 specs - still not wide enough - up to 2150 MHz, when up to 2340 MHz is needed. Ignoring the software support for a moment - in the best case around 150-200 MHz from high band might be gone (~12,550-12,600+)...
