Hello @ all,

i tried to bring a TBS 6981 at Windows 7 64-bit to work but every time a made a channel scan windows is crashing down.

Tryed the channel scan in Windows Media Center, TBS Viewer and DVB Dream, every time Windows is crashing. For install i used the 2.0.0.5 and the 2.0.0.14 driver version.

I searched around i found the info that some mainboard not compatibel with the TBS 6981. I'm using the Zotac IONITX-F-E. Is this board compatibel? Are there any workarounds for this problem?

hi Marco,

it's possible that there is some compatibility issue with your motherboard. i want to ask you to do the following test: unplug any cables from LNB inputs and try to scan again - of course scan won't give any channels, because the cables are disconnected, but it's just for a test. also, did you try to use external power plug on TBS 6981 to supply more power to the card?

thank you,
cody

Hi Marco,

and everyone who has similar instability issues with Zotac mainboards(IONITX-F-E).
You need to install a more powerfull power-supply, this will solve this issue.

Regards
