TBS 6981 WHS drivers?

I am trying to get my new TBS 6981 card to work on my WHS server with DVBLogic. I have installed the latest drivers (2.0.0.11 x86 XP), all appears to be OK but DVBLink won't find any channels on scan. I then tried the 2.0.0.12 beta driver but that seemed to screw the devices up.
Should I be able to get this card working in WHS?
Thanks.

Sorry about this!
We have not tested 6981 in WHS server,Can you make sure that WHS server support BDA interface? because 6981 can support BDA interface!

actually, which version of WHS you're using:
- there is "Windows Home Server" (WHS) that is based on Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2. i'm not sure if that version has BDA (Broadcast Driver Architecture) support or not.
- also there is "Windows Home Server V2" aka "Microsoft Windows Home Server 2010" that i don't know if it's even released yet, but it's based on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 technologies. so, even more unclear if it supports BDA or not, because as you may have heard Microsoft removed BDA support from their Windows Server 2008 products - there is a way to manually re-add it again:
http://win2008workstation.com/forum/vie ... =22&t=1023but it's not so easy as it seems in theory according to my experience in practice.
however, as far as Microsoft OS has native or added somehow proper BDA support then TBS 6981 drivers will work.

I am using the released WHS with the latest service pack. It is based on Win server 2003.
I have been able to use other satellite cards in it with no problem....

WHS does definitely support BDA. I have used a number of different cards successfully using their BDA drivers with SageTV.
I think the XP drivers should work - that's what I used when I first installed the 2.0.011 driver, then I updated to the 2.0.0.12 beta driver. The 2.0.0.11 driver seemed to install without errors, but I couldn't get DVBLogic's TVSource to scan any channels. Then I updated the driver to the 2.0.0.12 version and it all went badly wrong with devices showing invalid drivers and various lockups ocurring (I suspect that was a Win7 driver).
i think WHS is a very important platform for network tuners, so worth sorting this out.
Thanks

One other point about this - ony one Tuner is shown in the device manager. There is also an Unknown device which wasn't present before, but if I try to force it to load the TBS6981 driver it causes a network crash temporarily before recovering, then says it is not the correct driver (so maybe that is nothing to do with it?).
Usually XP drivers work with WHS, but it appears not in this case.
Any ideas?

Just in case there's anyone out there who can offer any help, I downloaded DVBDream 1.5 onto this server and it tunes channels using the 6981 card without any problem.
So it looks like the 6981 (2.0.0.11 XP 32-bit drivers) works fine on WHS with the DVBDream software, but not with DVBLogic (using TVSource). I have another card in this server (Pinnacle dual-sat pro) which works perfectly with the same TVSource setup.
My point of using this setup is to specifically get the TVSource+TBS 6981+WHS working, as I think there is a lot of opportunity for that.
Any ideas of what else I can try?
Thanks.

in my opinion you should ask DVBLogic support how to collect debug information from TVSource, because if DVBDream works then BDA is available in WHS and 6981 driver is functional without any doubt. maybe, TVSource fails with 6981 for some reason, because of the other working card. also, i know one case, when 6981 wasn't working with TVSource, because of some bug in the older versions and DVBLogic made an update. in any case DVBLogic support should be able to understand what's going wrong based on the debug information of TVSource, because after all everything else is setup correctly for sure since DVBDream is working fine.
