Hi,

yesterday my Tvheadend machine crashed and after reboot the TBS 5990 adapter did not work. There was no kernel update done so the driver should work like yesterday. When i look into dmesg i see the fallowing line

[ 17.164635] cx231xx 1-3:1.1: Failed to attach demod tas2101 0

Did anybody know what i can do?

Hi nasuel

Please have try reinstall the open source driver :
https://github.com/tbsdtv/linux_media/wiki
before install delete your current kernel media folder.
rm -rf /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/media/*

Then start reinstall check whether will be ok

Hi steven,

i tried to reinstall the driver but after installation the problem still exists

[ 17.295052] DVB: registering new adapter (cx231xx #0)
[ 18.180592] cx231xx: Failed to attach demod 0
[ 18.180648] cx231xx: Cx231xx dvb Extension initialized

I will test the 5990 with Windows tonight and give feedback.

What about your test report is it ok in windows ?
