This is what I get with the femon command line.

status SCVYL | signal 55% | snr 74% | ber 0 | unc 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK
status SCVYL | signal 55% | snr 73% | ber 0 | unc 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK
status SCVYL | signal 55% | snr 74% | ber 0 | unc 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK
status SCVYL | signal 55% | snr 73% | ber 0 | unc 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK

The same cable with a TBS6991SE would show SNR at 100%.

I'm using mode 0, which means it uses the Multiswitch.
How can I increase signal quality on this board? Use other mode?

signal level and snr as a % was a horrible idea by the original linux driver developers. What does it mean? not much is the answer.

SNR is signal to noise ratio expressed in dB not % 10%, 50%, 90%, means nothing, definitely not comparable from device to device, or transponder to transponder.

In summary dont worry if the % is lower on your 6909 it doesnt mean the signal is any less then on you 6991
