Hi,

I am wondering what giving the card extra power from the molex connector will actually do?

As at present I seem to be able to receive 30 concurrent streams from it.

What is the advantage? Why is it their?

usually do not need to use the extra power ,in some case such as connect a big motor the power from PCI-E slot not enough then
you can use the extra power.
