Simultaneously channels

Hi,

I am wondering if there is already expierence how many sd/hd channels can be recorded/streamed by tvheaded with the marvel chip in the MOI+ with a Quad S2 Card, as its offered in the shop.

If we would assume that a hd channel takes about 18 mbps. On a transponder are several hd channels. But taken the quad card, so there are at least 4 channels possible. Then the MOI+ has a 1000 mbps ethernet interface, but I am unsure if the marvel chip has good enough connection from the satelit card to the processor and then to the ethernet chip. As well as the Marvel chip is fast enough to split the channels out of the transponder stream, and then if its recorded is there enough bandwidth left for this.

Does anybody ran any test on this?

I have been able to stream 1 HD and 4 SD (NDS encrypted, Oscam decrypted) simultaneously without a problem using a quad (6985) and VDR from MOI+. CPU was less than 50%

There is a problem to be corrected at the MOI+ VDR scan page to use a quad tuner but support is already informed, they have acknowledge and mentioned they will include fix in v 1.0.1

any expierience with recording and streaming at the same time? And I would be more intrested in like 3 simultaneously HD streams with Oscam decrypted one or two of those and yeah maybe 2 other recordings to a harddrive connected to the sata port.

I use dvblink as my MediaServer so streaming and recording is the same.

I have access to only one HD channel using my card so I cannot test with more than one.

However after my last message I tested with aprox. 10 channels, using 4 tuners and it was flawless. CPU was around 53-57%

I wonder if it's capable to stream 4 full transponders using 6985. 4 transponders x 13 channels each = 52 channels, 200 Mbps...

If the channels are HD and heavy encrypted (NDS for example) it will be higher than 200mbps.
