hi all
i look it every were how to install tbs6982 on ubuntu-14.04.1 server i cant find any,
can some one help me with commands to install it please

Those commands works. If you post what did you do you would get more help. You can't say "it didn't work". What if you made mistake when typing commands. And you do have instructions in file README_TBS6981 in drivers zip file.

wen i put this command
mv dvb-fe-cx24116.fw /lib/firmware/
i get this
pike@pike:/root/tbs$ mv dvb-fe-cx24116.fw /lib/firmware/
mv: cannot stat ‘dvb-fe-cx24116.fw’: No such file or directory
wen i go to lib then firmware i find this file on the dvb-fe-cx24116.fw

wen i put this command
tar xjvf linux-tbs-sources.tar.bz2
i get this
pike@pike:/root/tbs$ tar xjvf linux-tbs-sources.tar.bz2
tar (child): linux-tbs-sources.tar.bz2: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
can you tel me what i am doing wrong

1. When you have the firmware file in /lib/firmware/ you don't need to move it here.
2. Do you have the file linux-tbs-sources.tar.bz2 ? Change in the directory where the file is located and type the command again.

i give up on it at the mow i tryed every thing i found on internet no joy no thing work for me
