tested GeexBox image - tryn to adapt Openelec

I have tested GeeXBox image for cubox pro on matrix box...but there are alot of issues to fix also there.

Started as a side project porting Openelec for Matrix.
At this point work is in progress but im alone and might take a while till i succed to have a working Openelec image for Matrix.

Whats the advantage of openelec over others ? ie why is openelec with xbmx better then openpctv with openelec ?

Hi UDL,
I suppose is more mature project than OpenPCTV and they are a big community. That's important for this such things ;) . Look at Raspberry Pi ...

Is it possible for an image but with 12.2 or 12.3 version of XBMC?
The Gotham still full with bugs and not polished enough and i would like to see Matrix Tv performing with a stable version of xbmc.

Openelec will be kinda hard to be ported to Matrix.
Oe using latest kernel 3.10 and it will take some time till community will be able to align linaro's kernel to 3.10.

GeexBox represent an good alternative aswell to use on Matrix but the way of installation requesting a bit of linux knowledge.

Latest git code appears to be using 13.0 xbmc. The fit repo is using 3.0.5 kernel. There is a beta imx6 using 3.10 though.

Regarding openelec it would be easiest to just downgrade the kernel.
