Dell Inspiron 3847: Card not recognized

Hello.
I use two TBS cards (6982 and 6281) and tvheadend as server. After some problems on a HP computer (see viewtopic.php?f=87&t=9278) I now bought a new Dell Inspiron 3847 (http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-3847-desktop/pd).
On this computer both cards aren't recognized. Bios is the latest version (A07). lspci on Debian says: http://www.michaelmutschlechner.com/foren/tbs/lspciDell
I tried Ubuntu from usb stick and ultimate boot cd, but the cards aren't visible. It seems that the motherboard ignores them.
The PCIe slots are ok, i tested them with a ethernet card.

What can I try to do?

Thanks

Hi mimu88

Please have a try set your BIOS PCI-E speed to Gen1 like this:

Hello Steven.
Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately there is no pci-setting in the bios. There are only very few settings on that bios... Is this the only possibility to make the cards work?

Hi mimu88

Can you have a try contact Dell let them update the BIOS to support PCI-E1.0a otherwise you need to change another board to use.
And you can have a try change the PCI-E slot too.

Thanks

Kind Regards
