Unicable configuration

Can someone please explain what Position A and B are about when configuring unicable within DVBLink/TVSource? I understand that my multiswitch assigns a frequency to each slot, but can't quite figure out the positions thing. Basically, trying to link two quatro LNBs to a bunch of tuners via unicable-capable multiswitch - all help is much appreciated
