Windows 7 x64 blue screen after hypernate(solved)

Hi,

i use a master slave socket connector, so that all, the monitor, the speakers, ext. USB drives and the Q-Box will be switched of if the PC goes into hypernate state. After i move the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard the PC will be back in a few seconds from the hypernate state. After i installed the Q-Box driver, sometimes the PC runs into a blue screen after returning from the hypernate state. I installed the driver from the TBS webside.
Sometimes it works, but than the windows media center can not find the Q-Box.

Does anybody knows a solution?

Thomas

Hi,

same happens to me. Same OS and also with the new driver 2.0.3.8.
Have you contacted support yet?

Same here (Windows 7 64bit).
I am always getting a bluescreen when Windows returns from hybernate.
Also sometimes when I disconnect the Q-Box S2 by pulling out the USB cable.

I am running the drivers 2.0.4.0.
I saw there are newer drivers available now (2.0.4.2). Hopefully this issue is fixed (the Q-Box is useless for me otherwise).

I havent contacted the support yet due to this issue. Will give the new drivers a try first.

For me the issue seems resolved currently, after I've deactivated the USB auto-energy-save settings in the Windows 7 configuration.
Having Windows 7 getting into hibernate and wake up with a functioning DVB-S Box seems to work now.... right now I dont have any bluescreens anymore.

Installed the driver and tried a resume from hibernate and it worked, but only that once. Problem appears exactly as was (i.e. BSOD when Media Centre attempts to access the tuner) and cant reporduce the sucessful resume.

I am using a usb slave power cable so everytime the machine hibernates the Q-BOx powers down, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Can someone please give me some advice on what Usb setting need to be tweaked on Win7 x86 as I don't know where to start.

Many thanks,

Ben
