Martin,

while i don't have ready configuration file i believe it should be very easy to prepare one - first run lirc like this:

lircd --driver=dev/input --device=/dev/input/eventX

where X is what is listed in your 'dmesg' output as the number for TBS8920 IR input device.

and then you can use 'ircrecord' to create custom configuration file or better try to use the generic one:

http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/dev ... f.devinput

i hope that will help you and answers your question.

Hi,

Using the latest available Linux drivers and I also cannot get the remote to work.

you say here "while i don't have ready configuration file i believe it should be very easy to prepare one - first run lirc like this:

lircd --driver=dev/input --device=/dev/input/eventX

where X is what is listed in your 'dmesg' output as the number for TBS8920 IR input device.
"

What number do i use? here is a copy of my "dmesg | grep cx88"

tried that veehexx no joy, didnt create tbs-ir device :( im a patient man but lack of support around here is a joke.

Next card I buy I'll make sure theres a support network before making a purchase.

Sorry for the negativity but wife nagging to get this sorted, if i cant gotta have to buy a setup box just to make sure she can watch tv with remote.
