Can you recommend a loseless editor for HD .TS files such as
those obtained from NASA Select HD or PBS HD? Something
like gopchop perhaps?

All I need is to cut and (possibly) paste, no filters or effects.
Preferably freeware.

i think what you're asking for is software like "Transport Stream (TS) Packet Editor", which i believe is freeware or "H264TS_Cutter".
