Hi, For me scanning was already fixed with v111115 and kernel 3.0 but the cam isn't working stable with this version. I tried Irdeto Smit and Irdeto Smarcard. Both don't work stable and bring the message in dmesg "Invalid PC card inserted :(". But I will try the v111118, maybe it helps wit...

Today new drivers are available: V111115

Let's see if they fixed this problem.

Maybe this thread is based on the same bug in the driver. Also no channels can be found.

But seriously I can watch tv (tvheadend and xbmc) but some times I have to reload the drivers (rmmod, modprobe). At least there is a way to get things working :-) Well, I will try it out with the versions you mentioned, hopefully it will work for me as well. Thx for the quick answer. Cheers, Chris

I have this problem as well (EDIT: I used V111017 on Ubuntu 11.10). Did anybody get the TBS5980 working on linux?
