Rhode and Schwarz SMIQ03 for testing all frequencies from 100 MHz up to 3 GHz) What setting do you use on the SMIQ? Is it possible to get a DVB-S like signal using the internal IQ generator? - my TBS6983 can receive from 144 MHz up to 1999 MHz impossible to receive above 2000 MHz >> The Datasheet s...
Thanks to Davin from support. Apparently the driver supports <950MHz: "Our chip and driver all can support you input the frequency that less than 950MHZ. but i think many software limits the frequency input range(950M~2150M)." Is there any Windows s/w that allows tuning below 950MHz?
You can use my open source drivers to do so. TBS could maybe change it to, it's a simple setting UDL Many thanks. I found references to 250MHz in your code when I did a search but I'm a Linux noob. I went through the postings on Rick's forum but ended up a bit confused. Is there and idiots guide? I...
Hi, The STV6120 data says it works from 250-2150MHz. Crazyscan, TBS etc will not allow <950MHz Is there any way to get the TBS6983 to tune below 950MHz?
satesco, many thanks for the explanation. It is much clearer now and I understand what Crazyscan has been telling me. I have been away from sat tv for a few years and things have moved on! I finally found an APSK signal that worked, a feed on 8W, so the card itself seems to be fine. (The frequency e...
Thanks. I did find a TP that gave occasional bursts of audio on VLC via Crazyscan but I didn't have time to capture much. It was 24.5W 11058V 24354ks/s 3/4 FEC 32APSK ACM SNR=14.4dB Bit rate=90.6Mb/s MIS=1
Hi Steven, Thanks for the reply. With an SNR of 19dB (on the 12605 TP which should have been a OB feed) I would have expected to get good data. I found this example of someone getting a good result from an SNR <10dB and a worse looking constellation: https://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/16-32...
I'm using a TBS6983 with the v 1.0.0.7 windows driver on Win 7 64 bit with Crazycat 1.0.2.123 and EBSpro v 13.2.0.1 but have yet to be able to receive anything on APSK. It may be that I have not found a transponder with video or audio. It works with other modulation types. I have noticed that the mo...
