Re: 6909X - Compile Issues

Deleting the media_build folder and starting again seemed to fix it. Crazycat mentioned a few months ago that kernel at least as high as 5.0.x work fine.

6909X - Compile Issues

I'm trying to build the stid135 module from source because I think the mutex fixes from a commit 2 days ago could really help me. I'm using Arch Linux with this kernel: 5.0.10-arch1-1-ARCH I'm running this from the media_build directory: ./build --main-git --depth 1 The errors are: *****************...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

Thanks both,

Setting "Performance" governor for cpupower did not work and I think that was because of boost was still enabled. I have disabled the following in the bios and it now works!:
AMD Powernow
AMD CPB
CPU C1E
CPU C6

Thank you for the hints.

Re: TVHeadend + xbmc strong artifacts

For me I find putting the CPU under stress actually fixes the problem. I don't understand how this fixes the problem for me but try: "stress -c 1" TBS, Any idea where the problem might be? Could it be the "Relaxed Ordering Bit" PCI setting? Disabling CPU frequency changes does no...

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

Are TBS planning to investigate this at all? It affects quite a few motherboards. I've tried my 6985 on 2 mnotherboards and it does not work properly on either. The same boards work fine with a mixture of other cards in cluding another TV tuner. Can TBS swap my 6985 for a 6984?

Re: Strong Artefacts - Questionable SNR and high BER

Just wanted to add my experiences to this thread. I tried initially with a Tyan S5512 but this could not detect the 6985 at all, then bought an Asus KCMR-D12 which detects the card fine but I had severe artifacting for HD and regular artfacting for SD when using just one tuner. Then applied the patc...
