Re: Good News,Open source code for TBS Card has been release

Thanks a lot, the driver seems to work for me on my 6985.

Could you please add support for SNR reporting? Missing SNR information makes it more difficult to achieve the best dish alignment :-(

UPDATE: I take it back, using "femon" instead of "femon -H" is good enough for me!

Re: TVHeadend + xbmc strong artifacts

My broken setup is also based on an ASUS motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX + Intel Core i5.

Re: TVHeadend + xbmc strong artifacts

This is certainly not limited to TvHeadend. VDR produces the same artifacts, it just doesn't complain as loudly.

Re: TVHeadend + xbmc strong artifacts

Just a small note: only PCI speed can be configured, PCIe is not affected. But I am suffering from the same problem and I don't think that the motherboard - as it was previously said - is to blame. The graphics card or Gb ethernet card are able to transfer huge amounts of data with no corruption, bu...

Is it working OK with the disabled Spread Spectrum?

It may have improved a bit, but I cannot say it's gone

Re: TS discontinuities

Hello, I had similar problems, and I was helped by the TBS support team (thanks again!). What you should try: 1. Update your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version (this was the solution in my case). 2. Check your BIOS' PCI-E related options: no PCI-E overclock, set it manually to 100 MHz. 3. If ...

Re: TS discontinuities

I have now tried different software (Tvheadend) and it exhibits the same problem. The problem goes away once I disable "idle scanning".

To me it seems that parallel use of multiple adapters at the same time, or possibly just the tuning (my feeling), triggers the issue.

Re: TBS 6985 dont tune

Hi, I also have trouble tuning with TBS 6985. w_scan works like a charm while scan-s2 fails to tune anything.

When I switch the sat cable into another DVB-S card, then scan-s2 works again. So this must be some sort of compatibility problem between scan-s2 and drivers for TBS 6985.

TS discontinuities

Hi, I'm using a TBS6985 with VDR to stream TV channels to XBMC. Once I started using TBS6985 (replaced two separate DS3000-based cards), I see occasional picture corruption, even though the signal is VERY strong and femon is not reporting any corrupted data. When playing the stream in VLC, I get the...
