Update: Got the replacement-card after it got stuck with customs for two weeks. Plugged it in, installed the drivers (tested 1.0.1.0 and 1.0.1.1) and Windows 8 x64 device manager says everything is fine. But nothing happens. TransEdit (scanner proggi from the DVBViewer package) recognises the card, ...

As the TBS6285 has just been announced through BuyDVB newsletter, is it correct to assume, that the 6281 will feature the same changes? Most importantly perhaps the change from a Samsung Tuner module to one by Siliconlab (Si2158+Si2168; oh, and there's a typo in the newsletter "Silico m " ...

I checked again yesterday and found minor (somewhat lower, but above usual) error rates on close/neighbouring frequencies, like 130MHz. Other than that: nothing. Will they replace the current/old models or just complement the assortment? And yes, I'm asking because of a possible RMA. ^^

That seems very likely. But what has been updated -and when the cards will be available- is still unclear, hence this thread. (:
Though it seems a little strange, that the drivers for these cards were announced before the cards themself on this site (or are available through buydvb).
