Re: Windows 10 return from sleep problems

OK, I spoke too soon, if I resume the PC almost immediately after sleep, it's OK, but if I leave it any longer I still get a blank screen. After 2-3 minutes the PC then reboots.

Re: Windows 10 return from sleep problems

Hi Steven, I eventually managed to solve it by changing the PCIE speed manually to PCIE 1.0 rather than AUTO. Neither PCIE 2.0 or PCIE 3.0 worked. For reference it's an ASUS PRIME B250M-A motherboard, BIOS 0310, Intel Pentium G4600. No overclocking, or anything like that, just safe optimal BIOS sett...

Windows 10 return from sleep problems

When I have the Windows 10 driver (v 1.0.0.2) installed for this card, when my PC returns from sleep, Windows shows a black screen. It's not clear if it's just a blank screen that's the problem or if the PC simply hasn't returned from sleep though. If I disable the device and remove the driver, ever...

Re: TBS6981 and ASUS P8H77and P8Z77-V LX

Do you have the power connector on the card connected? If you have a spare PCIe power connector on your PSU you can use that, or else use the supplied PCIe - Molex connector instead. The card needs a solid 12V supply to power the LNB's, and especially during scanning when it's continually switching ...

Re: uk. ch4 hd picture problems

HOORAY (well almost)! The latest catalyst drivers, version 12.4, have solved this problem ... BUT, they have introduced a new problem whereby the HDMI driver is disabled when the TV is powered off! However, there are reports that the beta for 12.6 (don't know what happened to 12.5) has solved this p...

Re: uk. ch4 hd picture problems

I have already tried that and it makes no difference. It appears to be something to do with the ATI Catalyst drivers, and some people have had success with DOWNgrading their drivers to a much older version. Anyway, I'm not looking here for a solution as I'm not likely to get one here, just informing...

Re: uk. ch4 hd picture problems

It's H.264 just like all the other channels that do work (albeit with the slight startup glitch I mentioned).

Re: uk. ch4 hd picture problems

For what it's worth, I have the same problem with a number of different TV clients and codecs. Other people on the internet seem to have the same problem, but it seems to be limited to those with AMD/ATI Radeon graphics cards, including the built-in GPU in the AMD E350. Other HD (i.e. h264) channels...

Re: system crashing on channel scan using TBS6981

Well stopped it crashing, dropped the 250w psu for a 500w. Seems the power draw from the card is quite hungry. I saw the same thing as well. I suspect it's not the absolute power draw, but small surges when the LNB's are powered up which temporarily causes a glitch on the 12V supply and a slight dr...
